Visual Voice Fine Art is proud to reopen with two exciting solo shows: 'Creatures from Somewhere' sculptures by Nancy Roberts AND 'The Turning Point' paintings by Paulette Melanson.
The pandemic and social issues affect us all in different ways, from escapism to wanting to take control of our future. This is made evident in this exhibit were both artists had opposite reactions. Despite their different approaches, the resulting combined show is visually appealing and cohesive.
Paulette Melanson wants for things to change for the better and her aim with this new body of work was to inspire hope, encourage optimism and empower change. 'The Turning Point' is her first all abstract solo, bright, colorful, and as optimistic and happy as the artist intended.
Nancy Roberts lost her inspiration and will to create as galleries closed and exhibits cancelled during Covid. Forced to continue she began by gripping the clay and playing with her medium, which gave rise to creatures that seemed to come alive and were at home in these strange times we are living.
'Creatures from Somewhere' is dynamic, playful, and proves that any situation can breathe new life and creativity into us. See the exhibits online here: visual-voice.ca/exhibit
