Westcote Bell Pottery

PO Box 68, 3447 Highway 331
LaHave, NS B0R 1C0
The studio is open to the public and has daily demonstrations. Summer  May 1–October 31, 9am–6pm. Off season Nov 1–April 30, Thursday–Monday, 10am–5pm

We are situated on the LaHave River in a 160-year-old boathouse, next to the LaHave Bakery, between the LaHave cable ferry and the Fort Point Lighthouse.

Our pottery has been featured in books and magazines, exhibited in museums and galleries across North America, and can now be observed being made in our studio and purchased in our showroom here in Nova Scotia. We use a unique technique of layering coloured clays and underglazes over paper masking to create whimsical landscapes and animal imagery. We use stoneware and earthenware clays, electric and gas kilns.

All of our pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. We make ovenware, wash basins, tile, and tableware. All of our glazes are lead free and food safe.
