A “Quaich” is a traditional Scottish vessel, with Gaelic origins meaning “the loving or friendship cup.”
Both the whisky in the cup and trust are meant to be shared; hence, the handles on opposite sides. As the recipient holds the offered cup with both hands, it makes it impossible to use any weapons.
Traditionally, a smallish vessel for sharing a wee dram, in the spirit of QUAFF, this Quaich is for Drinking Deeply - in a big way.
