Time: 1:00 pm
Place: Findlay Community Centre, Sullivan Hall,

Dear Members,
We hope this message finds you well and that your creative work is in full swing!
We’re writing to let you know that a date has been set for the Nova Scotia Potters Guild Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is an important opportunity for all members to hear updates from the Board, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of the Guild.
We will also offer this AGM via Teams for those who are unable to make it. The link will for this will be sent out prior to the AGM.
The minutes from our last AGM as well as the most current agenda can also be viewed on our website at nspotters.com - just click on the scrolling banner called AGM 2025.
If you have any suggestions for the agenda, please send them along to Darren Rowles: nspgpresident@gmail.com
Currently this AGM will have 4 elections/appointments. We have nominees for Mentorship Lead and NSCAD rep. We are currently seeking nominees for Treasurer, Events Co-ordinators. If you wish to apply for any of the above roles, please notify Darren nspgpresident@gmail.com – all nominations/applications should be submitted no later than April 6th 2025.
Whether you’re a long-time member or new to the Guild, your voice matters. We encourage everyone to attend, ask questions, and participate in the conversations that guide our community. We will also partake in the following:
POTLUCK
Feel free to bring along some finger foods in one of your favourite hand crafted dishes so we can share in some nourishment while we meet and admire lovely pots or platters.
SWAP MEET/SALE/GIVEAWAY
If you have items to sell or give away, bring them along and a swap meet will be held after the meeting. We will do our best to finish by 3:30 pm. Items that have been sold or given away in the past include glazes, wheel bats, old ceramics monthly mags, etc.
MUGSWAP
Following on from the success of last years mug swap we will be repeating this event at the end of the AGM. To participate:
Bring one of your new mugs (or equivalent) to the event.
Please put a card in it that will inform the person who picks it of how to find more of your inspiring work.
Hand it in at the door and get a card with a number on it in exchange.
After the meeting the person with the lowest number will pick first and so forth until all the mugs have been selected.
(You are welcome to trade/barter or otherwise exchange your number card if you so wish)
We hope you’ll leave the AGM feeling energized, full of new ideas, and maybe even inspired to take on a bigger role in our community. And if nothing else, you’ll have shared some good conversation, made new connections, and perhaps found the perfect handmade mug to take home.
See you there! And if you know a potter or ceramicist who might enjoy being part of the Guild, bring them along—we’d love to welcome them.
Cheers everyone,
Darren and NSPG Board
