Susan Delatour earned her BA in Arts, Crafts and their History from UC Santa Cruz,.Ca in 1976 and did post graduate studies at the Sun Valley Centre for Arts in Idaho and at the Banff Centre in Alberta. She owned and operated studios in BC from 1980-2022, before moving to Nova Scotia.

Susan creates hand built, boats, houses, and figurative pieces which are often smoke fired in sawdust. Her sculptures have a timeless quality and a sense of pre-history. Susan taught workshops to guilds and in schools throughout BC. Her unique sculptures have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including across Canada, the US, Scotland, Taiwan, and Korea.

Presently Susan lives on Corkums Island near Lunenburg on the South Shore and her studio is open by appointment.
