I am driven to find balance in my life, family, work, art, friends, finances, diet … all of it! This piece is a play on this idea. I watch my son, every morning, make his coffee. It is probably more sugar and cream than coffee. Everyday, I speak to him of the importance of balance, specifically as it pertains to sugar, caffeine and cream. 

“Balance” is the literal representation of my son's morning coffee routine, But more than that, it is about life lessons we are all learning and teaching as we try to balance all that we find important and necessary in our lives.
