I have a degree in technical theatre and worked in performing arts for several years before moving on to ornamental horticulture and gardening. Working with clay in my studio is my winter activity when the clay in the garden is too frozen to dig.
I make thrown and hand-built functional pieces with mid-fire stoneware. My ideas for pots are heavily influenced by pottery found in museums and archaeological records, particularly the medieval period.
I sell at craft fairs and take commissions for individual pieces and sets.
