Carved Expressions in Clay
Dartmouth, NS

My childhood was spent on the muddy sunny banks of the Bay of Fundy. It was years later with mentor Pat Foot that I would discover how to take this mud and create functional and sculptural pottery. With Pat’s generosity I learned how to make glazes, fire kilns and teach the art of clay with openness and understanding. In time an artist collective was formed and we call ourselves “8 of Clay”, we share our skills and stories and sell our work together.

Over the years I have taken classes at APS and workshops at NSCAD. I have participated in several group shows and sales and I curated my first group show in 2010. I currently work at Dragonfire Pottery & Supplies where I am continually exploring new clay and glazes.

With my 17 years of studio experience, I feel: “Clay can be anything you image, I want to help you realize your potential.”
