Amy Noel ~ Wabi Scotia Pottery
"Perfectly Imperfect" My goal is to make pottery that is inspired by two things; the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, and seasonal aspects of Nova Scotian culture. I lived in Japan for 3 years and learned to appreciate the beauty of irregularities and 'imperfections' found in a well-crafted piece of pottery. Basically, because something is different it is more beautiful & special. I also want to inspire you with small moments of experience from the great outdoors around Nova Scotia. When you use my pottery I hope that you can be transported to somewhere rustic - perhaps a camping trip or a cottage, maybe you can imagine digging your toes into the sand. By using my pottery I hope that you can relax, dream, and enjoy some of the little moments of everyday life.
